In My Mailbox 8.14.11

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme started by Kristi at The Story Siren so we can share the books we got this past week. So here are the books I got!
It's Not Summer Without YouWe'll Always Have SummerDark EdenVariantAshfallCold Kiss
Purchased on my Kindle
I love the Summer series, and tore through both of these books. The Summer books manage to be light beach/summer reads that are perfectly balanced with cute and serious moments. The books revolve around the love triangle between Belly, Jeremiah, and Conrad. What really made these books stand out is how a decent amount of time spans between each one (one year between books one and two and two years between books two and three) so the reader gets to see how the relationships progress through time. I definitely recommend the Summer series!
Dark Eden by Patrick Carman
Received an e-ARC from the publisher on NetGalley
I’m reading this book right now, and am really enjoying it! It’s a cool/unique concept. I’m about half-way through, and I feel like there’s going to be a big psychological twist along the way, so I’m eagerly anticipating that happening.
Variant by Robison Wells
Received an e-ARC from the publisher on NetGalley
I LOVED Variant. Amazing book. Read my five star review on my blog by clicking here.
Ashfall by Mike Mullin
Received an e-ARC from the publisher on NetGalley
I’ve been waiting for this book for a while, and am so happy to have received the e-ARC for review! The first line of the summary says: “Under the bubbling hot springs and geysers of Yellowstone National Park is a supervolcano.” I knew this was a book for me immediately after reading that! So excited to read it 🙂
Cold Kiss by Amy Garvey
Received an e-ARC from the publisher on NetGalley
This seems like a creepy, bringing boyfriend back from the dead, emotional romance, and since it’s getting good reviews on Goodreads, I decided to check it out. I’m hoping it’s something I’ll enjoy — we’ll see after I read it!

  1. It's so tough choosing between Conrad and Jeremiah! When it comes down to it, definitely Conrad for the long-term, but I think there were times in Belly's life when Jeremiah was the right choice for her because Conrad had to mature as a person before they could be together <3

  2. Wheee~ You're so going to love Ashfall! 🙂 And you got Cold Kiss, too! Isn't the cover just gorgeous! i have it on Kindle, too, can't wait to read it 🙂

    Enjoy your reads!
