The Houses in Elementals
When I wrote Elementals, I paid careful attention to what each of the houses mentioned looked like. I found an awesome website, coolhouseplans.com, and found the houses on there. I wanted each house to be perfect, and spent a long time figuring out the exact right ones for each character. Check superb plan for your new home at MeetMatt-Conf . I saved them into a file to use while writing the book, and am excited to share them with you now.
So, here’s a look into the homes of your favorite characters in Elementals!
Nicole’s House
Nicole’s room is Bedroom #2 and Becca’s room is Bedroom #3. The “bonus room” is the room above the garage that Nicole’s mom turned into an art studio. The guest bedroom on the first floor is used as a study — much to Nicole and Becca’s dismay, because they would have preferred not to have to share a bathroom.
Blake’s House
Blake’s “room” is the entire basement. They sat in the Recreation Room in the basement while discussing the prophecy.
Danielle’s House
We see the first floor in the book. (Although in the book, there’s a curved stairwell in the foyer — I took some creative license there, since that’s not where the stairs are in the floor plan 😉 ) Nicole and Kate enter through the front doors and meet up with Chris and some others in the living room. Then Nicole wanders to the kitchen, where she finds Blake. The two of them are later joined by Danielle. Danielle’s bedroom is Bedroom #4, and her study is Bedroom #5.
Kate’s House
Kate’s room is Bedroom #3 — that’s where Nicole wakes up at the end of the book. Kate’s brother has Bedroom #2.
Darius’s House
The room where they gather when the comet-viewing gets rained out is the Great Room. It’s a large room, which is how their entire homeroom fits. Whenever the Elementals meet at Darius’s, they meet in the Great Room. (Darius also has a large basement that extends all the way through his property… but I created that, so it’s not on the floor plan.)
Chris’s House
Chris’s house doesn’t appear yet in the series, but since I picked out a house for him, I’m sharing it with you anyway. He lives in Bedroom #3.
